She's A Maneater opened her five-year-old career in fine touch when she produced another splendid run to win the $1.3-million Chairman's Trophy feature at Caymanas Park on Saturday, March 23, 2019.

Voted as last year's champion sprinter, She's A Maneater got going late inside the half-furlong (100m) to win, easing down by 3 lengths in the Graded Stakes event over 7 furlongs.

She's A Maneater was held off the pace by regular rider Omar Walker, as stable companion Drummer Boy (Jerome Innis) mixed it up front with Chace The Great under Trevor Simpson.

As the runners made their way towards the five-furlong (1000m) point, Chace The Great slipped Drummer Boy and began to open up on the field as She's A Maneater cruised down into third place, still somewhat off the leader running around the half mile turn.

Coming into the lane, Chace The Great secured the inside rails and looked strong on the lead, with She's A Maneater and Walker working overtime behind. She's A Maneater got going inside the last half a furlong and flashed by a weakening Chace The Great, and then coasted home comfortably.

Superluminal (Paul Francis), who was coming off three consecutive wins, got third place following the disqualification of Drummer Boy, who had initially finished in third place. Drummer Boy was disqualified for causing interference to stable companion Perfect Neighbour shortly after the start of the race.

Bred by Winston Kong, owned by Ian Kong and trained by Wayne DaCosta, She's A Maneater ( Natural SelectionAhwhofah) stopped the clocking in a good 1:32.0 for the distance behind splits 23.1, 45.1 and 1:10.0.

She's A Maneater provided the team of Ian Kong, DaCosta and Walker with a double, as earlier the mare's younger brother, Run Thatcher Run ( Fearless Vision - Ahwhofah), won the third race, also his first appearance for the season.

Run Thatcher Run defeated Crucial Appeal (Dane Nelson) by an identical 3 lengths as She's A Maneater did, over 6 furlongs (1,200m). Run Thatcher Run won in a time of 1:12.3.

Also with two winners on the day were trainers Philip Feanny and Anthony Nunes.

Feanny was successful with Sebastian (Christopher Mamdeen) in the first race over 8 furlongs (1,700m) and Messi (Oneil Mullings) in the eighth race over 7 furlongs (1,400m), while Nunes saddled first-time runners Don Almighty (Linton Steadman) in the second race and I Am Di One (Simon Husbands) in the fifth race. Both races were run over 6 furlongs.

Trainer Alfred McIntosh earned his first winner on local soil when Awesome Aviator, under Dane Nelson, won the fourth race over 6 furlongs.
