As a result of a very targeted approach by the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), some 18 female coaches or former players will tomorrow begin a FIFA Intermediary Coaching Course for coaches of female players.

The course, which opens at 9:30 am, will be held at the UWI-JFF Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence.

Having more females coaching, playing, refereeing and in administration is one of the main strategic goals of the JFF for the development of the women's game in Jamaica. As a result, former players as well as coaches, who are Advanced Level I and II certified, were targeted for the course.

The course will be under the direction of FIFA instructor Andrea Rodebaugh. She will be assisted by National Under-17 Girl's coach Toni Cowan.

The course lasts until Friday, with classes each day from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.
