LONDON, UK — Olympic champion Usain Bolt is telling the BBC that American sprint rival Tyson Gay "probably just hates my guts" because Bolt has dominated major championships.
Bolt hadn't lost an individual race in two years until last month, when Gay beat him in Stockholm in a 100- metre race.
Bolt says his priority is major events, where he's been beating the American.
The Jamaican sprinter told BBC radio today that "deep down I think he probably just hates my guts”.
At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Bolt won both the 100 and 200 in world-record times, and helped Jamaica win another gold and set another world record in the 400-metre relay.
A year later, he again set world records in the 100 and 200 at the world championships in Berlin.
