KSAFA teams tackle 'westerners' in Flow KO
BY PAUL A REID Observer Writer

FALMOUTH, Trelawny -- It will be east versus west in the west as the quest for the last two semi-final places in the Flow Champions Cup Knockout continue with two games today.
Defending champions Boys' Town will take on an improved Village United at Elliston Wakeland Centre, while St James champions Granville United, seeking to be the only non-Premier League club in the top four, host another KSAFA club, Arnett Gardens, at Sam Sharpe Teachers College.
At Elliston Wakeland, the home team will be seeking their first win over Boys' Town this season after losing 1-0 and 3-1 in three Premier League games.
Since losing 3-1 at Jarrett Park in their most recent meeting, however, Village have won five of their next seven Premier League games, but it took a penalty shoot-out to get them past Western Confederation Super League leaders Reno in the previous round of the Flow KO.
Village have scored once just in 270 minutes against Boys' Town, but coach Paul 'Tegat' Davis will be hoping skipper Troy Smith, who has scored nine goals in the Premier League; teenaged striker Dino Williams -- both of who scored against Humble Lions on Sunday, as well as Oliver Trail and Delroy Ellis, can produce the goods.
Despite playing away from home, Boys' Town will start favourites and coach Andrew Price will look to Andre Wheeler, George Vernal, Michael Campbell and Anthony Bennett to get the goals.
Boys' Town, who beat Sporting Central in the previous round, have scored just three goals in their last seven Premier League games, however, and an upset could be in the making.
The game at Sam Sharpe will feature two teams struggling in their respective leagues. Granville have struggled in the Western Super League, sitting mid-table in sixth place, while Arnett ae in ninth place in the Digicel Premier League, within an arm's reach of the relegation zone and their place next year not yet guaranteed.
In either case, their only hope for a title this season will be in this competition, and the game is expected to be hotly contested.
Granville will be seeking their biggest scalp of the season and after travelling to St Thomas in the previous round where they outscored Bath 3-2, they will be banking on home advantage.
The St James team is coming off a 1-1 draw against lowly Petersfield in their Super League game last Sunday, but rested three players for today's game.
Garth Johnson will lead the Granville attack, along with Michael Thompson, Rodney Hines and Odain Snow, while Arnett Gardens will depend on Newton Sterling, who scored in his first three games, Garfield Gillespie and William Richards.
