Holland take aim at Duanvale

Saturday, February 04, 2012

KINLOSS, Trelawny — Holland United will this afternoon seek to close the gap on leaders Duanvale FC when they travel to Kinloss to face the home team in a Trelawny Football Association's National Rums of Jamaica Major League.

Duanvale failed to move further away from the field on Thursday when they played out a 1-1 draw with Granville and moved to 23 points, four more than Holland.

A win for Holland against sixth-placed Kinloss today would see them move to within a point of the leaders.

Despite their lowly standings, Kinloss have scored 16 goals from eight games, just one less than Duanvale, while Holland are third with 14 goals.

Jackson Town could move two places up to fourth if they can beat 10th-placed Spicy Hill when they meet at Jackson Town, while Clarks Town and Friendship will meet at Cedric Titus High School.

On Thursday, Duanvale went ahead early when Davian Graham fired them into the lead in the fifth minute before Carlington Williams equalised for former leaders Granville FC in the 68th minute.

In another game, Exidos So Fresh and Flames ended goalless.
