Jamaica Aggregates Limited presents playing kit to Heartease United

Saturday, February 04, 2012

The Heartease United Youth Club's football team received a boost when corporate friend Jamaica Aggregates Limited presented playing kits that will outfit the players for the current season of the St Thomas Major League.

At a brief presentation at the company's crushing plant in Poor Man's Corner in Yallahs on Tuesday morning, plant manager Donovan Mathews expressed delight with the new partnership and vowed that his company will continue to not only support the club, but the wider Yallahs community.

Technical director of the Heartease Sports Club Henry Ford collected the gear in the presence of club president Wayne Thompson, head coach Tammy Ricketts and members of the team.

Jamaica Aggregates Limited is not a newcomer to supporting sports activity in the greater Yallahs area, as it has had a long association sponsoring teams that participate in the corner leagues.

The firm, which is a subsidiary of an international-based parent company, also supports activities of the St Thomas Cricket Association.

Also, the sand-mining operation assists in financing the sports programmes of the Yallahs High School and Grants Pen Primary.

In the case of the primary school, the company will commence a feeding programme in two weeks.
