Ticket prices set for football friendlies

IT will cost patrons hoping to watch the Reggae Boyz play Cuba in a two-match firiendly international series a low of $500 to a high of $2,000.

In the first game at the National Stadium on Ash Wednesday, February 22, it will cost $2,000 for Category One and $1,500 for Category Two in the Grandstand, and $500 for bleachers.

From 24 meetings between the 52nd-ranked Jamaica and the 113th-ranked Cuba, the latter have won 11, lost seven and drawn six.

For the second game at Montego Bay's Catherine Hall Sports Complex on Friday, February 24, VIP will cost $1,500, Grandstand $1,000 and the East Stand, $500.

Tickets are expected to go on sale on February 20 islandwise at locations to be announced.

The Reggae Boyz, who will kick off their CONCACAF World Cup Qualification semi-final phase on June 8 against Guatemala at the National Stadium, will depart on February 25 for Auckland, New Zealand for another friendly international on February 29, where a number of United Kingdom-based players, including Damion Stewart and Claude Davis, are expected to participate.
