ALTHOUGH the Joshua Morrison Memorial Cup is the feature race, it is an Overnight Allowance event divided into two sections that will highlight today's 10-race card at Caymanas Park with some hot steppers competing over the five-furlong (1,000m) straight course.

In Division One, the fourth race on the card, the contest should come down to a straight fight between Another Vigorous, Nuclear Flight and Ras Emanuel, while Division Two, the sixth race, should see Orpheus returning on a winning note by putting away rivals with the minimum of fuss.

The races, which are valued at $1 million each, are set for 1:35 pm and 2:50 pm, respectively, with first post at 11:55 am.

Another Vigorous and Nuclear Flight renew rivalry once more in what is expected to be a titanium tussle to wire for top honours here. Both horses have met each other three times so far with Another Vigorous holding a 2-1 advantage over Nuclear Flight. However, Another Vigorous's wins came on the round course where he has the dominance of Nuclear Flight.

But, Nuclear Flight's only win against Another Vigorous was over the five straight course which means today's event will be to her liking.

With that being said, both horses should once again produce good runs with the edge being given to Another Vigorous as the bustling Dane Nelson has been called upon to do riding honours.

Both Another Vigorous and Nuclear Flight can't afford to make any mistake in this one as Ras Emanuel, who is no chicken over the straight, can get up in time to steal top honours. The bay horse has been training really well coming into this race and is expected to run the top two close.

Meanwhile, the talented Orpheus should have no problems putting away his eight rivals in the Division Two. The chestnut horse is returning from a three-month break, but that should be no problem for him as he is a cut above this level.

Orpheus last competed on August 15 where he finished fifth by over seven lengths to Perfect Neighbour in an Open Allowance event over nine furlongs and 25 yards (1,820m). He now steps down in grade for this one and should have the race in the bag, barring any mishap.

Twilight Dreams, Birdie My Love, Sir Budget and Dancing Queen are in a battle for second, third, fourth and fifth places.

The Joshua Morrison Memorial Cup feature, which is positioned as the ninth race, should see Colt Of Arms, Instagram, Helena and Perfecttrublemekka battling for top honours. However, the Restricted Allowance event over seven-and-a-half furlongs (1,500m), could see a straight fight between Colt Of Arms and Perfecttrublemekka.
