Cavalier to contest 'B' final at Gothia Cup

Cavalier Soccer Club will contest the “B” final of the Gothia Trophy (B17) against TikiTaka Academy of Nigeria after they defeated Deportivo Alaves of Spain 2-0 in semi-final action of the Gothia Cup in Sweden yesterday.

Today's final is slated for the SKF Arena at 9:00 am (Jamaica time).

Dwayne Atkinson in the 17th minute and Nicque Daley headed home from an Atkinson corner on the stroke of half time for Cavalier in their victory over Deportivo Alaves.

Cavalier had advanced to the semis on the back of a 4-0 victory over ACBB Paris in quarter-final action. Kaheem Parris, Javaughn Cole, Javone Francis and Tyreese Durrant were on target in that game.

Meanwhile in Cavalier's final preliminary group game, they ended 1-1 with group winners BK Hacken to finish third in the group which relegated them to the “B” play-offs.
