MONTEGO BAY, St James — Faulkland FC took over sole leadership of Zone Two of the Jamaica Football Federation Western Confederation/Charley's JB Rum Super League after blanking promoted Grand Palladium 3-0 in their first-round game played at Jarrett Park on Saturday.

Faulkland FC's win saw them improve to seven points from their three games, while Wadadah FC, who came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Granville FC, slipped into second place on five points.

Meanwhile, Beaches Negril's perfect start was halted after they were held to a 0-0 draw by Harmony at Long Bay Beach Park, but are tied for the lead in Zone One with Reggae Youths, both on seven points from three games.

Clark's Town and Roaring River also played out a 0-0 draw at Cedric Titus High.

At Jarrett Park, a wasteful Faulkland FC, missing a chance to run up their goals tally against Grand Palladium, missed a handful of scoring chances against an overmatched opponent.

Radcliff Dawkins scored in the sixth minute to give the St James team the lead, and Romario Reid added a second in the 30th minute as they led 2-0 at half-time.

Despite having the better of the possession and better of the chances in the second half, Faulkland FC only had an 84th minute goal from Allan Ottey to show for their dominance as they ran out easy winners.

At the UDC Field, Wadadah FC played out back-to-back 1-1 draws, coming from behind in both as Granville FC got their first point of the season as both teams played with 10 men from midway the second half.

Ewan Barton sent Granville FC into the lead when he scored his second goal of the season in the 26th minute.

An own goal from Granville FC defender Akeem Edwards in the 72nd minute, however, gave Wadadah FC a lifeline, but it was Edwards who made a spectacular save several minutes later to prevent his team going behind.

Granville FC goalkeeper Andre Campbell was beaten off his line, but Edwards was well placed to head the looping shot from Wadadah FC's Oshane Forbes from on the goal line.

Wadadah FC's Dwayne McLennon and Granville FC's Davian Thelwell were both sent off after they got into a physical confrontation.

Catherine Hall won their first game of the season, snapping their two-game losing start by beating Hopewell United at Kenilworth in Hanover.

Kemario Murdock scored for Catherine Hall in the 23rd minute as they took the lead before Dwayne Jumpp levelled the scores at 1-1 in the 23rd minute.

Kemar Reid then scored the winner for the visitors in the 78th minute.
