MONTEGO BAY, St James — Heights FC, last season's beaten finalists, took over the lead in Zone Two of the St James FA Sandals Resorts International Major League on Wednesday after beating Cambridge FC 1-0, handing the promoted team their first loss of the campaign.

Renaldo Scarlett's 47th-minute goal was enough to give Heights FC their second win of the season as they improved to nine points and are the only team yet to taste defeat in the competition, with three draws.

Cambridge FC slipped to second place, tied with Bogue FC on eight points, two more than MoBay City FC as the first round came to an end.

Lilliput Rovers lead Zone 1 with 12 points, two more than Irwin FC, with Catherine Hall FC and Melbourne Mind Games next on seven points each.

The return-leg of the competition will get underway on Monday.
