Campion College and Immaculate High were victorious at the Cable and Wireless/ ISSA High Schools Tennis Championships at the Eric Bell Tennis Centre, Cross Roads yesterday.

On the penultimate day of the four-day event, which brings together Jamaica's most promising high school talents, Campion defended their Boys Under-14 and Under-16 titles, while Immaculate triumphed in the Girl's Under-14 category.

Campion, playing some exciting tennis and displaying good teamwork, defeated Wolmer's Boys' 3-2 in a thrilling five-setter for the Under-14 crown for the Bishop Gibson and Richard Russell Cups.

In the Under-16s event, Campion, led by Dominic Pagan, Brandon Williams and Marcel Morgan, overcame the challenges of a determined Ocho Rios 3-1.

Immaculate, who will today seek to add the Under-16 crown to their tally at the expense of Mobay High, captured the Girl's Under-14 and the Carl Chantrielle Cup following a nail-biting 3-2 win over Holy Childhood.

The girls from Constant Spring Road enter today's Under-16 final with an overnight 2-1 lead.

Also on today are the finals of the Under-19 event and the presentation ceremony, which starts at 8:00 and 11:00 am, respectively.

In the Boys division, Ocho Rios, hoping to retain the Alexander Cup, will tackle Cornwall, while the girls will also be on the hunt to retain the Farquharson Cup against Bishop Gibson High.
