MONTEGO BAY - Wadadah failed to cash-in on home advantage and struggled to a 2-2 draw with Portland-based St George's United in their NPL qualifier at Jarrett Park on Sunday.
"Full credit must be given to Wadadah for coming back twice although I thought we allowed a soft goal in the end, St George's coach Donovan Duckie told the Observer.
Playing in front of a partisan home crowd, Wadadah twice came from behind after Damion Harwood opened the scoring for the visitors three minutes into the game.
Harwood was at it again in the 36th minute when he dribbled through the suspect Wadadah defence and beat advancing goalkeeper Trenton Bernard.
Neville Brown scored a brilliant goal to equalise from a searching pass from Dillon Thelwell.
With 16 minutes before time, Markino Gillings - who was tightly marked throughout the game - crossed a ball from the touchline, which surprised the goalkeeper who let the pass slip from his hands and into the goal.
Wadadah coach Allan Aarons said the squad was not picked based on performance at training, but rather on reputation.
Wadadah next play away to Arlington and then Santos.
