FIFA's world rankings for March issued yesterday showed Cuba surging up to 60th in the world, the same as Trinidad and Tobago, who they beat 2-1 in the Digicel Cup, while CFU champions Jamaica solidified their position as the Caribbean's number one team, with a five-place climb on FIFA's list.
Jamaica's Reggae Boyz claimed their third CFU title when they beat Cuba 1-0 in the final on February 24 in Barbados and are now up to 41st in the world rankings, remaining fourth in the CONCACAF ratings behind Mexico, sixth in the world, the USA (10th), and Costa Rica (21st).
