Morgans Pass take first-leg lead in Clarendon Div One

THE unbeaten Morgans Pass FC edged closer to victory with a 1-0 advantage over Wood Hall in the first leg final of the Super Plus Clarendon Division One competition last Wednesday at the Turners Oval in Four Paths.

The return leg is scheduled to be played this Sunday at this same venue at 3:00 pm, while the third- and fourth-place play-off will be staged at 1:00 pm.

Damion Simms scored the goal that made the difference in the third minute of play.

Morgans Pass, who have had an unbeaten run since the start of the competition, whipped Gayle FC, 6-1, on aggregate to reach the final after the two-way semi finals, while Wood Hall advanced with a 5-1 aggregate over Web Landers to take the other slot.

Nineteen teams participated in this season's competition.
