Scotia 'A', Jamaica Broilers continue winning streak

Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) 'A' and Jamaica Broilers both maintained their winning streak in the Business House netball competition on Saturday at the Leila Robinson Courts in Kingston, when they fought off the challenges of National Commercial Bank 'A' and RBTT, respectively.

The Winston Nevers-coached BNS 'A', led by key players Suzette DeSouza, Marsha Murphey and Viola Francis, turned back NCB 'A' 57-30, while Jamaica Broilers dismissed RBTT 45-29.

In other senior league encounters, Department of Corrections suffered another loss, going down 39-42 to Sugar Company of Jamaica, while Cable & Wireless 'A', coached by Dalton Hinds, failed to show for their match against General Accident.

Over in the Intermediate 'A' league, WISYNCO stopped Air Jamaica 38-22, Heart Trust outscored Life of Jamaica 37-20, Jamaica Public Service defeated National Water Commission 'A' 31-24 and Jamaica Infrastructure Operator got by KRAFT 25-20.

Meanwhile, in Intermediate 'B' action, STATIN and VMBS tied 21-21, Port Authority edged NHDC 18-16, while NWC 'B' outscored Grant Stewart Phillips 25-22.

Over in the Junior League, First Caribbean Bank stopped Continental Baking Company 23-13, ISSA got by Cable & Wireless 'B' 23-16, while Wray & Nephew eased past NCB 'B' 19-18.

The Divisional League is scheduled to continue this evening with eight matches, starting at 5:45.
