KANSAS CITY, Missouri (CMC) - Jamaicans Tyrone Marshall and Ryan Johnson notched US Major League Soccer (MLS) goals with their teams Saturday night, Marshall's effort helping Seattle Sounders to an exciting win on the road.

Seattle clinched a play-off spot by coming from behind to defeat the Kansas City Wizards 3-2 and Johnson got one of San Jose's goals as they drew 2-2 with Chivas USA.

Seattle became the first MLS expansion side since Chicago Fire in 1998 to claim a play-off spot in their inaugural season with their win at the Wizards' CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

The experienced Marshall ventured forward for a set play and scored in the 27th minute.

Freddie Ljungberg de-livered a threatening corner that the Wizards' goalkeeper Kevin Hartman blocked.

Hartman's deflection fell to Marshall, who met it with a left-footer to score his second goal of the season and 15th of his 11-year MLS career.

The KC Wizards roared back to lead through strikes from Zoltan Hercegfalvi (51st) and Josh Wolff (53rd) but Roger Levesque locked the game at 2-2 in the 69th minute and Nate Jaqua won it for Seattle in the 76th minute.

At the Home Depot Centre, home team Chivas USA rallied to earn their 2-2 draw with San Jose.

Speedy Cuban Maykel Galindo gave Chivas a seventh minute lead and San Jose responded with goals from Brandon McDonald (21st) and Ryan Johnson (58th) to lead 2-1 early in the second half.

From the right flank, Chris Leitch sent a high cross into the Chivas USA area that found an unmarked Johnson on the far post to score a team-leading 11th goal of the season.

The Jamaican connected with a looping header that a diving Zach Thornton in the Chivas goal was unable to reach.

Already assured of a play-off spot, Chivas grabbed a share of the points when Justin Braun scored in the 66th minute.

The goals by Marshall and Johnson gave Jamaicans three goals this past week in the MLS as Andy Williams had logged a fine late goal Wednesday and helped Real Salt Lake (RSL) beat New York Red Bulls 2-0.
