LONDON, England (CMC) - Reggae Boy Kevin Lisbie lashed in a brace to fire Colchester into third spot in League One while Barbados international Emmerson Boyce scored his first goal in 11 months as Wigan Athletic handed Burnley their first home loss of the English Premiership season on Saturday.

Playing at home in East England, Lisbie scored in either half as Colchester carved out a 2-1 win at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Boyce, meanwhile, who made his debut for Barbados last year March against Dominica, scored his side's final goal in a come-from-behind 3-1 win over Burnley away at Turf Moor in England's north-west.

The 31-year-old Lisbie, who has not played for Jamaica in five years, opened the scoring for the hosts when he guided Clive Platt's shot into the back of the net in the 26th minute.

Walsall, however, needed less than two minutes to get back on level terms thanks to Darren Byfield's solo effort.

With the scores locked 1-1 at the half-time break, Lisbie provided the winner for Colchester when he stroked home from the spot after Josh Payne had fouled Mark Hughes.

Colchester are now third, two points off leaders Leeds who lost 2-1 at Millwall and a single point behind Charlton, who drew 1-1 at Gillingham.

At Turf Moor in England's top flight, Steven Fletcher put Burnley ahead in the fourth minute before Colombian forward Hugo Rodallega hauled Wigan level rather fortuitously after goalkeeper Brian Jenson slipped and twisted his ankle, allowing a free run on goal.

With game on at half-time, Wigan took the lead six minutes after the break when Trinidadian striker Jason Scotland collected the ball in the area and played a pass back to Rodallega whose stunning volley went in off the post.

Boyce, 30, who has made two appearances for Barbados to date, then ensured Wigan would take all three points when he turned in from close range following Rodallega's corner in the 76th minute, for the second goal of his Wigan career.
