Welch's Heart Health Fund Run set for Nov 29

The Heart Foundation of Jamaica yesterday launched the 2009 edition of the Welch's Heart Health Fund Run. The run has been an ongoing event on their calender since 1978 and is recognised for the healthy heart message it promotes via exercise.
This year's event will be held on Sunday, November 29, at the National Stadium East field from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.

To participate persons can visit the registration booth to sign on and submit their sponsorship. Participants are free to attend any time during the four hours and run, walk or jog at their own leisure.
Individuals or groups who are willing to support are encouraged to collect sponsorship forms and flyers at the office of the Heart Foundation at 28 Beechwood Avenue.
Packages will include cash and in kind support and the Wisynco Brand, Welch's holds the title sponsorship for the Fund Run. Other noted sponsors are IBM, Stewart's Auto and the Urban Development Corporation (UDC).
The guest speaker was Senator Warren Newby, who was on hand to represent the Ministry of Youth, Sports & Culture in the absence of the Honourable Olivia Grange.
Also present to endorse the 30th staging of the run were MVP Track & Field Club president Bruce James, Jamaica Amateur Athletic Association treasurer Ludlow Watts and brand manager of Welch's Wisynco Group, Joffia Johnson- Bell.
Peter Bangerter, Deborah Chen and Janene Hibbert represented the Heart Foundation.
