Boyz back in camp ahead of S'Africa friendly

THE Reggae Boyz returned to camp yesterday afternoon to continue preparations for their friendly international against South Africa in that country on November 17.

Named in the 25-man- strong, training group is St George's Sports Club, midfielder and former Jamaica Under-20 representative, 18-year-old Romeo Parkes, who is one of three Under-20 players named. Rivoli's Fabian Gordon earns his second invitation, while Harbour View's Andree Steele is being involved for a third time.

The Norway-based duo of Eric Vernan and Damion Williams, Dane Richards of the US Major League Soccer (MLS) were expected to join the group yesterday.

Omar Cummings arrives in the island on Saturday, as will midfielder Rodolph Austin, forward Luton Shelton and defender Adrian Reid - all out of Norway. Demar Phillips arrives on Monday and should join his teammates on that day.

The Reggae Boyz will remain in camp until Saturday when they break to return on Monday, November 9. On their return, they will remain in camp until their departure on Thursday, November 12 for South Africa.

They will have two training sessions today at Stadium East - one at 7:30 am and another at 3:30 pm.
