SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth — Former champions St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS), Garvey Maceo High and Glenmuir High will be seeking to book their places in the semi-finals of the ISSA/Freshhh Rural Area Under-14 football competition as the quarter-finals continue with four games today.

STETHS, Garvey Maceo and Glenmuir High have won their first games in their respective zones and a win today would ensure safe passage to the top four set for December 13.

Meanwhile, defending all-island champions Cornwall College must win today when they complete their quarter-final group at home to Old Harbour, if they are to stay alive in the competition.

STETHS, who came from a goal down in the last 10 minutes to beat Cornwall College at Santa Cruz last Friday, will play Lennon High at home in a Zone One game.

Lennon High gave up a 2-0 lead at Cornwall College on Monday and had to settle for a 2-2 draw and will need a result today, if they hope to advance.

Garvey Maceo High hammered Munro College 5-1 on Monday and will travel to Lucea to face Rusea's High, who lost 1-2 to Glenmuir High at home on Monday, even as they were still celebrating their victory in the daCosta Cup competition.

Glenmuir High will be away to a Munro College team still smarting from a big loss.

The round will continue Saturday with Lennon playing Old Harbour High and Glenmuir facing Garvey Maceo, and it ends next Monday with Munro College hosting Rusea's High in a 2:00 pm game, and Old Harbour meeting STETHS.
