JCA Jam T20 makes return after four-year absence

THE Jamaica Cricket Assocation (JCA) Jam T20 Bashment returns today, after a four-year absence with a full slate of Round One matches at seven venues across the island.

At venues where there are double-header matches are set to begin at 10:00 am and at 2:00 pm. Where there is a single contest, the scheduled start time is 11:00 am.

University of the West Indies, who won the Twenty20 cricket tournament when it was last staged in 2014, are to begin their 2019 campaign against Zone D rivals Jamaica Defence Force in the curtain-raiser at Mona campus.

Also in Zone D at the same venue, G C Foster College take on Melbourne CC, while at Elletson Road, Police square off with visitors Portland CA.

In Zone A, Kingston CC welcome Kensington to Sabina Park, while Kingston and St Andrew CA entertain Lucas CC before Boys' Town CC face St Thomas CA at Maxfield Park.

In Zone B clashes at Jamalco, St Elizabeth CA meet St Catherine CC, and Clarendon CA take on Westmoreland CA. In the other Zone B encounter, St Catherine CA entertain Manchester CA at Windalco.

In Zone C, the double-header at Dumfries will feature St James CA versus Trelawny CA before Hanover CA square off with St Ann CA. St Mary CA, the other side in the zone, will be inactive.

Teams in each zone will face each other once, with the top side progressing to the semi-finals. The winning teams will advance to the finals to challenge for the championship prize of $400,000, while the losers will square off in the third-place play-off.
