Mount Pleasant Academy will have another crack at one of the nation's heavy hitters when they welcome Waterhouse FC to Drax Hall Sports Complex in St Ann, on today's second match day of the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL).

Kick-off is set for 3:30 pm.

Last week the St Ann-based side began life in top flight football by ambushing title-holders Portmore United 2-1 in dramatic fashion at Spanish Town Prison Oval.

That win would have boosted their confidence going into this afternoon's clash against last season's runners-up Waterhouse.

Against the backdrop of the hype surrounding Mount Pleasant's meteoric rise up the local club football ladder coupled with their dream start, today's encounter provides further test of their mettle.

Waterhouse should also be in high spirits after taking three points off the other promoted team Dunbeholden FC courtesy of a 1-0 win in the Monday Night fixture at Drewsland Stadium.

Dunbeholden, who acquitted well in the opening-game loss, will get their chance to tick off their first ever RSPL win then they entertain former champions Montego Bay United at the Prison Oval venue after a 3:30 pm start.

But Montego Bay are smarting from the 0-2 home loss to Tivoli Gardens FC, and are expected to be pumped for battle.

At Effortville Community Centre in Clarendon, hosts Humble Lion FC entertain University of the West Indies (UWI) at 3:30 pm.

Humble Lion succumbed to a 1-2 away defeat to Arnett Gardens FC last week, while UWI had to settle for a 2-2 home result after conceding a late goal against Harbour View FC in their rescheduled game.

In yet another 3:30 start, Tivoli Gardens FC take on FC Reno at the former's designated base at Harbour View Stadium. Whereas Tivoli won on the opening day, Reno slumped to a 0-2 home defeat to Cavalier SC.

In the day's late afternoon kick-off, hosts Cavalier and Arnett Gardens — both buoyed by first-day wins — lock horns at Stadium East.

In tomorrow's RSPL Monday Night encounter slated to begin 8:35 pm, Harbour View tackle Portmore United at Harbour View Stadium.

Portmore should be desperate to find the winners' corner after last week's disappointment, while Harbour View will also go in search of their first win this season.
