The tournament features two different competitions running concurrently. The Juniors will compete for the Vitoria Marley Trophy. Marley died in an accident on a golf course.

The tournament is endorsed by the Jamaica Golf Association.

This year's tournament is being played in memory of seven of Jamaica's outstanding past national representatives, namely Milton “Buddy” Josephs, Izette Rhone, Lenan “Lennie” Chin — John Fulford, Al Chong, Claude Stewart and Mark Chin - former captain of the Buccaneers.
