Persistent rain yesterday forced the abandonment of the second day/night 50-over contest between West Indies 'A' and Sri Lanka 'A', without a ball being bowled here at Sabina Park in Kingston.

The Sri Lankans hold a 1-0 lead in the three-match series following their two-wicket win in a low-scoring opening fixture on Wednesday. In that contest, the Sri Lankans scrambled to 181-8 after dismissing West Indies 'A' for 176 on a slow pitch.

The third and final contest will be played tomorrow at the Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium.
