Sandals All-Star blank St James 2-0

MONTEGO BAY, St James — Sandals All-Star SC took over sole possession of second place in Zone Two of the St James Football Association Guardian Group Division Two after beating St James FC 2-0 in a rescheduled game played at the UDC field on Tuesday.

The win, the second for Sandals All-Stars YC, took them to seven points from four games, three behind leaders Rose Mount with St James FC and Westgreen both on three points each.

On Tuesday, two first-half goals made the difference, as Alekio Miller scored in the 19th minute and Fabian Brown in the 31st minute as Sandals All-Stars YC picked up all the points.

On Monday, Bickersteth YC assumed the lead in Zone One after they held on to beat Anchovy Stinger FC 2-1 at the UDC Field.

Kurtis Morrison in the 42nd minute and Darae Moodie in the 52nd minute scored to give Bickersteth YC a 2-0 lead before Demoi Denham halved the deficit in the 76th minute.
