Scotiabank 'A' score 4th win in Business House Senior 'A'/'B' Leagues netball

SCOTIABANK 'A' registered their fourth consecutive win after defeating Scotiabank 'B' 69-26 as the 2017 Business House Netball Association (BHNA) Division 'A'/'B' Leagues continued at the Lela Robinson Courts last Saturday.

Scotiabank 'A' and 'B' are coached by Winston Nevers, with the former being the losing finalists to Ministry of Education 'A' in the final last year.

The Scotiabank 'A' team is more experienced, and they completely dominated and outclassed their teammates in a one-sided affair.

Goal shooter Tennisha Bernard led the scoring for the winners with 43 goals from 59 attempts, while goal attack Shadian Hemmings got 23 goals from 33 efforts. For the losers, Suzette DeSouza got 23 goals from 33 attempts.

Meanwhile, Jamaica National (JN) Group chalked up their second win from as many starts by beating Sagicor Life 'A' 49-31 with shooters Rebekah Robinson scoring 27 goals from 39 attempts and Nadine Cushine with 20 goals from 27 efforts. For the losers, Reneika Thompson got 21 goals from 27 efforts.

Urban Development Corporation got the better of RJR/Gleaner Communications Group 49-45. Janel Russell led the scoring for the winners with 34 goals from 43 attempts, while Nekeisha Cohen scored 28 goals from 34 attempts and Kiesha Cohen got 21 goals from 28 efforts.

Meanwhile, in Intermediate 'A' League results, Norman Manley International Airport came out with a convincing 48-29 win over JMMB Merchant Bank; Cari-Med Limited clipped GraceKennedy in a very close encounter 32-31; National Housing Trust 'B' defeated Wisynco 34-21.

In results of Junior League matches also played last Saturday: Housing Agency of Jamaica (HAJ) defeated Jamaica Public Service (JPS) 34-21; LASCO Group and Sutherland Global Services played to a 19-19 draw.

Results of matches played last Thursday: Scotiabank 'A' defeated Jamaica National Group 62-35 and Appliance Traders Limited beat Sagicor Life 'A' 41-30.

In Junior League results: Sagicor Life 'B' defeated Stewart's Automobile 34-6, Maritime beat EdComm Credit Union 38-10.

Both Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) and National Commercial Bank have withdrawn from the Senior 'A'/'B' Leagues, while GraceKennedy were demoted to the Intermediate 'A' League.
