The versatility of She's A Maneater will once again be tested as the reigning Horse-of-the-Year takes on seven genuine runners, each with their own strong credentials, for a share of the $1.3- million purse in the None Such Trophy feature over six furlongs (1,200m), at Caymanas Park today.

Venturing over middle and long distances for much of her career, the Wayne DaCosta-trained She's A Maneater challenged the sprinting world on May 26 in the Lotto Sprint Trophy over five and a half furlongs (1,100m). Carrying 56.0 kgs (123 lb) and ridden by Omar Walker, She's A Maneater dismantled rivals by three lengths in a very impressive 1:05.2, proving that she can manage any distance thrown at her.

In today's field, five of the runners who were behind She's A Maneater in the Lotto Sprint are present. But turning the tables on the “Wonder Woman” of local thoroughbred racing will be a very demanding task, despite allowing weight all round.

Stable companions Mr Universe and Perfect Neighbour, along with Siempre Bueno, Chace The Great and Money Magnet, all of whom were behind the super filly will have to produce more than their best if they are to deny She's A Maneater this one.

The None Such Trophy, the perfect preparation race for the upcoming Caribbean Sprint Championship, is positioned as the seventh race on the 10-race programme and is set to go to post at 4:00 pm. First post is at 12:25 pm.

In another display of superiority, She's A Maneater, the four-year bay filly, took the seven-furlong (1,400m) Eros Trophy on last (July 28) with an electrifying five-and-a-half-length win in a good 1:24.3.

She is drawn on the outside of the field and she can move at any time, getting closer and closer before delivering her customary surge in the lane.

Mr Universe and Siempre Bueno are going to mix things up in front and should give way when She's A Maneater turns on the afterburner in deep stretch. Campesino, Chace The Great and Money Magnet are going to do their running from just off the pace, while Perfect Neighbour and Seeking My Dream will try their luck coming from behind.

Also on tap is the Nutramix-sponsored Front Runner Sprint, a maiden special weight event for native-bred two-year-olds over five and a half furlongs (1,100m).

It should be a straight fight between DaCosta's Princess Annie and Casual Drink, trained by Gary Subtraie. Both are training very well coming into the race and based on experience, Princess Annie, who has raced one time before, should be the one given the edge. However, Casual Drink, bred by Casual Trick - Zacapa, is tipped to get off the mark right away.
