Boys' Town FC continue their slide down the slippery slope with a 2-4 defeat to Tivoli Gardens in their Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) home game at Barbican play field yesterday.

Tivoli's Andre Moulton scored in the 36th minute and in the fourth minute of stoppage time to add to Colorado Murray's seventh- minute opener. Junior McGregor scored the other for the visitors. Boys' Town's reply came through Tarrique Campbell (52nd minute) and Garfield Gillespie, who struck in the fifth minute of time added.

The win puts Tivoli Gardens on 18 points, while the defeat keeps Boys' Town in the relegation zone on six points.

It was the third consecutive loss for the ailing Collie Smith Drive-based aggregation.

Tivoli Gardens, one of the top contenders for the 2017-2018 championship, took an early lead from a headed goal by Murray from a right-sided corner kick before the game was 10 minutes old. Despite the early setback, Boys' Town continued to fight and created several good scoring chances to draw level, but faulty shooting plagued the former Premier league winners.

Boys' Town fell farther behind after Moulton squeezed one past goalkeeper Mikhail Harrison at his near post from a goalmouth mix-up. This took the teams to the break with the visitors leading 2-0. Still showing that energy to continue the struggle, Campbell scored a rocket from inside 25 yards seven minutes after the restart that goalkeeper David Watkins saw too late. This goal dispirited Tivoli Gardens somewhat, but Boys' Town could not carry through their good ball play outside the box, and with one minute remaining to full time, Junior Mcgregor scored the third goal to settle the nerves of Tivoli Gardens. But that was not the end of the scoring as Moulton scored a fourth team goal, and his second, to put the score at 4-1. Gillespie scored Boys' Town's second after goalkeeper Watkins failed to hold on to a shot that came his way.
