Who or what's a triathlete? is the question posed by many. In its most popular form it involves swimming, cycling and running. For the always-charming, effervescent, banker-cum-triathlete Lesli Prendergast, “It really isn't that hard. You just have to be able to do all three disciplines; and keep in mind that you don't have to be perfect at all three. You focus on the weaker ones but you know that you have a strength, you know that you can build up in one of the disciplines while you're competing. So, what's required are more events locally and more visibility to make the sport more popular and more success stories like a Llori Sharpe to emerge.” She shared this as intros were made to her fellow triathletes. For Prendergast, more visibility is needed. SO concurs.
