As the event name suggested, it was the bringing together of many things to make one glorious whole. On Monday, September 23, day two of #DesignWeekJA2019, Angelie Martin-Spencer and her merry band of local artisans — Dana Baugh, Bianca Bovell, Victoria Silvera, Tamara Harding and David Myrie — collaborated on a spectacular showcase.

Merge: A Rebirth of Old left guests ready to pull out chequebooks to start the redecorating process. Merge highlighted talent that's right here in Jamaica and showed that local designers and artisans can pass muster against the best in the world.

From emotional remarks to breathtaking vignettes and an accidentally broken piece, Merge will have people talking for years to come.

Here's a recap in photos.
