Brut XT takes over Portmore

Tuesday, July 03, 2012

Brut XT rolled out its second instalment of its Twitter Treasure Hunt in the Sunshine City of Portmore, last Saturday. TEENage, was on hand for the first leg of the treasure hunt in Kingston last May, and was there again to see how well the contestants did this time around.

Several anxious players met at Destiny Plaza, which houses Little Tokyo restaurant, just before the competition's start and were briefed by representatives from Brut XT. Eight persons, which included two teams, turned out for the challenge, and in constrats to the first Treasure Hunt, the clues were slightly more difficult.

The first two clues seemed to be most difficult; with the first being a mix of words and a math equation which had most of the participants stumped for over 25 minutes. At the 15-minute mark, the brother-and-sister pair, 'Team Sanderson', rushed off to take the lead. The other team and the three single players started putting their heads together to figure out that it was a phone number and dashed off for their second clue.

At First Choice Pharmacy they got the clue "Do not mistake me for Quarter Master for I get two shares more, but now I use a pin not a sword; no longer savage, here I am Lord"; which again had them stumped and had 'Team Sanderson' losing their lead.

By clue four, all players were working fast to separate themselves from their competitors. However it was clue six that separated @Di_Indigenous_1, Kevoy, from the pack as he never got the answer for a clue that required him to text a number requesting the clue to the final location.

Once at the final location players had to solve a riddle so XTreme that it required serious focus. Player one, @NasAmoAidoo, gave the correct answer for 1st place; while team two, @suckhai, and @Criscesmyle, took second spot, while player three, @hunni_smith, took third place ahead of 'Team Sanderson'.

Speaking with TEENage, senior brand manager at NM Marketing, distributors of Brut XT, Michelle Valentine said: "We're happy with the turnout, the players said the clues were a bit difficult, however they enjoyed themselves."

She added that they will be taking a break from the Twitter Treasure Hunt until later in the year, however Facebook and Twitter followers can expect exciting things from them as they will be unveiling "You've Been XT" which will give persons the chance to star in their own show.
