Chillin’ with Raine Seville

JAMAICAN songbird Raine Seville stopped by TEENage Observer to chill for the afternoon and to tell us the latest happenings in her budding career.
"I've been busy recording, building my network, and working with new producers", is what Seville states that she has been up to career-wise.
These recordings that she has done include Talk Is Cheap on Don Corleone's Peanie Wallie Riddim, Watch Me Wine featuring Voicemail on Washroom Entertainment's Love Bug Riddim, and a soon-to-be-released single on ZJ Liquid's upcoming one-drop project.
Seville's most recent release is her ZJ Liquid mixed debut mixtape entitled Talk Is Cheap. Production credits for the project include Payday Music, Don Corleone Records, Daseca, Chimney Records, and Washroom Entertainment, with guest appearances by artistes such as Serani and Voicemail.
"Talk Is Cheap is actually the title of one of my current songs produced by Don Corleon. DJ Liquid thought that title for my mixtape would be appropriate because in this world, and specifically in my line of work, we all know that actions are more respected and appreciated than just all talk. Raine Seville represents action along with whatever speech she makes," Seville said with a chuckle at the end.
Seville described the sound of Talk Is Cheap as "Street, but sweet. It's a fusion of different sounds with dancehall, and it's filled with a diversity of topics and vibes that can appeal to everyone."
As a three-year member of the entertainment fraternity thus far, Seville found now to be the right time to release a mixtape because she wanted her fans to enjoy more music and be entertained until the release of her album next year.
When asked the difference between Raine Seville a year ago and present, Seville responded "Definitely more wisdom about the business. My capabilities have improved as I'm more comfortable with recording. Also I've become more diverse with my style of singing, as I do more singjay projects as opposed to straight singing."
Recent successes of Raine Seville includes her single Cheating Games with Mavado gaining an impressive over 300,000 views on YouTube without an official video, and performing at the South Florida Reggae Awards where she was nominated for 'Best New Artiste'.
Raine Seville told TEENage that after the promotion of Talk Is Cheap is over, persons can look out for "continued work, building my brand, recordings, appearances, videos, and my album next year".
