Females show up for Midnight Eclipse
Tuesday, January 03, 2012
PATRONS who were sceptical about whether or not the much-talked-about Midnight Eclipse could live up to its hype were in for a big surprise on New Year's Eve.
With the Corporate Area filled with parties on the night, the party of choice for females was Midnight Eclipse.
When the TEENage team entered the Police Officers Club venue at 10:45 pm the lines were already mounting. On the inside the music was low and patrons were spaced out all over the venue, but that was soon to change and by 11:30 pm when the venue became cramped for space, the music drowned Hope Road and patrons enjoyed the all-inclusive fare.
ZJ WahWa rung in the new year with a countdown and Black Eyed Peas' hit single I Got A Feeling, much to the delight of the patrons who were screaming at the top of their voices.
The party was now in full throttle with ZJ Chrome behind the wheels. The patrons reacted mostly to songs from the now-incarcerated Vybz Kartel and that's what they were treated to. The mostly female patrons also gave forwards to songs from Mavado, Popcaan, Aidonia and the hottest female in dancehall Tifa.
While the dance floor was being occupied by patrons bent on having fun, the beautifully decorated VIP lounge was the total opposite. Patrons in the VIP lounge were busy laughing and talking up a storm as they enjoyed the variety of drink mixes available to them.
It might be cliché, but all good things must come to an end and so did Midnight Eclipse.
The party came to an end at 2:45 am when the police ordered that the music be turned off, much to the anguish of the patrons on the dance floor, who were looking to party until the wee hours of the morning.
