AT only 21, Roshain McDonald better known as Shane-O has already made his name known to the masses with his music and his simple, yet eccentric sense of style.

Although he has been a bit off the scene, he plans to take Christmas and 2010 by storm with three new tracks Rise, Blem and Life Soon Change.

Inspired by King of the Dancehall Beenie Man to start singing, Shane-O describes his musical style as a little bit different. “I listen to Celine Dion on a Sunday, to help with my melody and whenever I need help with lyrics Ice Man (his manager) is here.”

Recording his first single at 11 years old, Shane-O is driven by his passion for music.

“I have big big plans for 2010, including a new vibe, and hopefully in early 2010 I drop the videos for the new songs.”

Coming off a one-month tour of the United States, Shane-O explained that he wants to tour Europe and Canada, he also stated that he would love to get a collaboration with two other young artistes, Tessanne, and Rihanna.

With all these plans, TEENage had to ask how he balances all areas of his life and the young artiste who spends his free time listening to music or playing Play Station, explained “my days are for the family and my nights for music, anything else falls in somewhere”.

At Sting in 2007, Shane-O copped the ‘Best Dressed’ award, and says he’s always dressed in something that will catch the eye.

He openly gave thanks for all the persons who have gotten him to where he is and is helping to get him further in the business including Ice Man from Ice Man promotions, the JOP and the Street Team family, Almshouse Records and friends Copper and Teacher Mackerel.

To stay up to date with his music, photos and info, check out his Myspace® page: shaneodj and his Facebook® page. Not far from his teen years, Shane-O advises TEENs to ensure that they get an education because as he says “without education there is no hope especially if you want to be an artiste”.
