CHART-TOPPING dancehall artiste Byiome ‘I-Octane’ Muir re-signed his contract as Digicel Brand Ambassador for a second year running.

The re-signing also coincided with the official launch of the artiste’s debut album, Crying To The Nation, which will be released by VP Records in Janauary 2012.

Speaking at the ceremony held at Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records in Kingston, Digicel’s sponsorship and activations manager Shelly-Ann Curran says that the company is extremely proud to re-sign I-Octane.

“His unique style of music mirrors the youthful vibrancy and positive energy that is Digicel — making the relationship between Digicel and IOctane a seamless and fitting one,” Curran told members of the media and others who came out to show their support.

I-Octane also shared similar sentiments saying that his association with the telecommunications giant has developed and further pushed his musical career.

“With the upcoming release of my debut album and being given the opportunity to represent Digicel for another year; my fans can only expect bigger and better things,” IOctane said.

After greeting his fans and posing for various media lens for more than an hour it was time for the artiste to hit centre stage for a live performance.

Backed by the Ruff Cut Band, Octane performed a number of songs from his upcoming album including My Life, Loose A Friend, Nuh Love Inna Dem, Study Yuh Fren Dem among other new tracks.

Some of those who came to show their support and celebrate with the artiste include dancehall artistes Tifa, Mr Lexx, Ninja Kida, Ward 21, Versatile and Stein.
