JEM celebrates anniversary with summer party line-up
Tuesday, June 19, 2012
JAMROCK Entertainment Management (JEM), known for bringing high energy events like Bar Code and 11:59, New Years' Eve, recently had their celebration of five years in the entertainment industry at The Spot Sports Bar and Grill, inside the University of the West Indies, Mona Students' Union.
Director of JEM Ibrahim Konteh shared with guests and media personnel present, the history of the entertainment company and its plans to infiltrate the summer calendar with premium events including the Infinity series, e.V.e Ladies Rock!, and, of course, Project Next, an eight-party series showcasing young promoters, battling for the title of best event.
Konteh explained that over 48 event managers and promoters applied to have their events hosted inside the plush Club Privilege. After short-listing 16 applicants, eight were chosen to compete.
"It was very difficult to just choose eight events because all the applicants came with really good ideas," Konteh shared. "However, we believe that the eight events selected were the best of the lot as they all have something different and appealing to offer to patrons."
The Project Next series will kick off on June 27 and will come to an end on August 15. All events will be held inside Club Privilege.
