Jamaica talented TEENs sashed

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

IT was a full house on Wednesday evening at the PCJ Auditorium for the launch of the Chillin' Flavoured Water Miss Jamaica Caribbean Talented TEEN 2012. From start to finish, the gathering was entertained and the MC Randy James kept the vibes going for an entertaining evening.

The MC promised the gathering would be in for a treat, and the contestants definitely delivered. First up was a dance by Joneal Crawford and Safiyah Miller, followed by a hilarious skit from the pair Kabrena and Joan Sayah Dixon.

Shannon Johnson also graced the stage with a dialect entitled Pickney Life Hard, which was well received by the patrons. Candise Bulli, the reigning first runner-up for the pageant, joined the line-up performed a medley of TOK songs and wowed the audience.

Following Candise was a speech by the reigning queen Aba Sykes who shared her experiences of being a queen. This was followed by a brief greeting from Dorett Thaxter, the marketing and public relations director from Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC).

The main address was delivered by Lorna Napier, deputy chief executive officer of CPTC. She encouraged contestants to always put their best foot forward, and to grab any opportunity they get with both hands.
