LAX

On Friday, December 16, Opulence Events staged the event LAX at Hope Gardens. Although the event got off to a late start, the patrons still came out to enjoy the vibe. Great music was provided by DJ Cyclone DJ Kyratt and DJ Karyzma as patrons danced the night away.

Winter Bar-Raage

Part one of the Lawless Events was an overwhelming success, with Rum-Bar Winter Bar-Raage first, followed by the fanatical Marco Polo. Held at the frostbitten dreamland New Kingston Liguanea, Winter Bar-Raage left patrons filled with excitement on their faces and fun in their hearts. The DJs have to be applauded for their creativity and the zealousness that they evoked all night long. In covering the activities, the party started at a tranquil tempo, with DJ Karyzma and JR on set juggling hits such as Missy Elliot’s Work It, Bogle’s All Dem Deh and many more. ZJ Ice was next, entertaining patrons with massive hits from the past, TOK’s Galang Gyal and Vybz Kartel’s Baby Bad Man. ZJ Ice biggest forward of the night was when he played Wrath by Sizzla Kalonji. DJ Karyzma return on-set with JR to intensify the traditional feeling of Winter Bar-Raage, he played various hits of all genres, sending the crowd into a dancing frenzy.

DJs Cyclone and Carrot from Urban Legendz lived up to expectation with tremendous support from the energetic patrons. ZJ Wah-wa played hits like Menke and numerous Vybz Kartel whining songs. DJ Supastylz entered with songs like Sizzla’s Where Do Go and Mavado’s I Know You Want Me, which serenaded the patrons. DJ Narity ended the party on a high note with various soca hits like JW and Blaze Palance and Lil Rick featuring Machel Montano 2011 Go Dung.

Marco Polo

The next night, the highly anticipated Marco Polo had new and returning patrons showing up for an experience a funfilled event. The New Kingston Golf Club was filled to capacity as early as 5:30 pm.

Rich Squad with Little Richie started the juggling with some soul music, charming the vast majority of ladies as they rocked unconditionally. He selected major international hits, R Kelly’s Wine For Me, Omarian’s Ice Box and other well known international songs. ZJ Johnny Kool was next on set, as he himself played some well known R&B songs. Eve’s Who’s That Girl and Missi Elliot’s Work It were some of the songs he played.

The Golf Club, which hosted such authentic dancehall-created hype with a hardcore treat from DJ Cyrus and the Messiah, JR. They whipped the fashionable ladies into a hysterical frenzy, flipping local whining songs such as Pamputtae’s It Good, Elephant Man Neva Dash Weh Nuh, and Lady Saw’s If Him Lef.

Up next was ZJ Chrome captivating patrons with hardhitting hip hop and dancehall music. Lil Wayne’s A-Milli, Vybz Kartel’s Trailerload A Money remix, which was satisfactory, as patrons got loud for his mixes.

Renaissance also strengthened the vibe, introducing themselves with some hot dub plates — Hardcore and Versatility represented the sound system. They played a wide range of genres to continue the incessant vibe for the patrons. ZJ Sparkz also provided some hip hop songs. The resumption of the Messiah JR and ZJ Chrome was again well received by the massive crowd. They evoked some hard-hitting Mavado and Vybz Kartel tunes. The ladies were again the centre of attention when Chrome played the Menke Medley.

All in all, TEENage Observer must say kudos must be given to the hardworking Lawless team for such a wonderful event. Another party to remember.
