We are now six months into 2019! Crazy, right? Do you remember all those goals you had written down in that fancy journal you bought at the beginning of this year? Have you achieved them yet? Or are you still working towards them?

If you aren't at the place where you'd want to be, where you're goals are concerned, there is no need to panic. Things take time. But what we need to understand is that these things can't happen if we do not do the actual work.

Like most people, I decided to buy a journal to put these goals into, and at the front of it I wrote a small note to myself, "From: My 2018 self, “It's your time to shine, don't think about it – JUST DO IT! Be the best version of yourself, unleash your full potential and empower others.”

Today teenAGE wants to encourage you to JUST DO IT. The business idea that you have been holding back for so long, or that book you thought about writing, whatever it is, forget about not getting it right the first time and just go for it.

There is no promise that it will be easy but as the Jamaican proverbs states "If you want good, yuh nose affi run." Shake off the negative thoughts and get to work. Those goals aren't going to achieve themselves!

I know what you're thinking, what if you fail. It's completely normal to have those thoughts at the back of your head; it's a part of our nature to start thinking that way. However, the sooner we understand and appreciate that failing is a part of life, the better. The truth is, if you did not achieve your goal – you really didn't fail. You have failed only when you have completely given up.

While you're out there accomplishing your goals and being the best you that you can be, remember to pass on a little motivation to someone else so that they can feel inspired and JUST DO IT, too.
