Teen Chef : Summer Snacks

THIS week, we continue to showcase some of the easy, quick and convenient summer foods that anybody can make throughout the summer.

Barbeque Wings

Ingredients

1 lb chicken wings

1 oz salt

1/2 oz black pepper

1 fl oz vegetable oil

1 lb all purpose flour

1 bottle barbeque sauce

2 fl oz pineapple juice

4 oz escallion

Oil for deep frying

Method

1 Wash, clean and cut the chicken wings. Place them in a bowl, and marinate with salt, pepper and oil.

2 Season the flour with salt and pepper.

3 Coat the wings with the seasoned flour and deep-fry in a 325° F oil until fully cooked, remove and drain on paper towel.

4 In a sauté pot, add pineapple juice and barbeque sauce, bring the sauce to a boil then add the prepared wings. Allow sauce to simmer until it becomes thick and fully coat the wings.

5 Garnish with chopped escallion.
