What does Easter mean to you?

Tuesday, March 26, 2013

EASTER holiday is just around the corner, which means the much-anticipated break from the hectic daily routines, the bun and cheese and well, for some, the Easter Bunny and his eggs.

But the real reason we celebrate this holiday is to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who died for their sins so they could have eternal life. It is also observed as the most holy day when most people find themselves in church just to express gratitude.

Whatever reason you choose to observe the season, it should still have some significance. Be it a time of reflection on the resurrection of Christ or the bun and cheese, teenAGE would like to know what makes the Easter holiday so significant to you?

I personally enjoy the Easter holiday because of bun and cheese, also the fact that my family always plan beach trips around this time seeing that everyone is on break.

Easter is significant to me because it is a time to reflect on how much God has done for us and specifically how much he gave for us.

Easter to me signifies leaving the past behind, and experiencing rebirth, hope and new beginnings, just as Jesus did when he died on the cross and rose from the tomb. And, of course, bun and cheese!

Easter is significant to me because it is a time to reflect on how much God has done for us and specifically how much he gave for us.

— Alvarene FEARON

Easter Holiday is significant to me because it reminds me of the pain and agony that Jesus suffered by his crucifixion so we can have eternal life. I am really grateful that I have someone who cares and loves me unconditionally and gave his life for me that I may have life and have it abundantly. So I find it absolutely necessary to show my gratitude by accepting the importance of the gift of life and living one that pleases God.

— Kacia SCOTT

It is a special holiday for me as it’s a time where Christians and the world celebrate and appreciate the resurrection of lord and Saviour. I personally reflect on the precious gift which the Creator gave us which is life. It shows how awesome He is. He died that we might have life and life more abundant.
