Thursday Food is extending the 30th anniversary celebrations of MoBay's iconic food and entertainment establishment Pier 1, and a reacquaintance with Seafood Sundays recently checked all the boxes. It's still hard to believe, as we enjoy the relaxing sea breeze, that this spot is less than five minutes from the bustling city centre of Sam Sharpe Square.

Families and friends are out in their numbers — a last hurrah, perhaps, before school opens — making the most of Seafood Sundays price specials on all seafood dishes, plus drink specials courtesy of Red Stripe, and of course the vintage music. that's what you call being easy like Sunday morning!

Anna-Kay Russell, operations manager at Pier 1, hinted that a menu change is slated for November of this year, to facilitate exciting new entries and jazz up old favourites. We'll be back, of course. Until then we lift the pot cover for another stir of the Pier 1 pot.
