Our local street vendors are some of the most hard-working, ingenious and fun-loving people with talents that know no bounds. Skilled at making the best of whatever situation life throws at them, their laughter, good vibe and good food are our best medicine. The Crab Village located at Heroes' Circle, Kingston is testament to this.

A hotspot for seafood, people from near and far traverse the popular stretch for some of the island's tastiest delicacies including boiled crabs, chicken foot and cow cod soup, boiled and roast corn and roast yam and salt fish. Scrumptious street fare aside though, it is the personalities of the vendors who, in their own words, “serve their food with love”, that's the real pull.

Known collectively as Maggi's Street Style Ambassadors, serving and preparing food is a minute segment of what these vendors do on a daily basis. Their long–standing relationships and contributions to the community have not only attracted repeat and loyal customers over the years, but also companies like Nestlé, through its Maggi Street Style Ambassadors Programme.

This partnership not only promotes the value of Maggi products and services but, more importantly, was designed to encourage and support the business and creative initiatives of these individuals. Dressed in Maggi aprons and hats in a light Friday drizzle, and with richly flavoured offerings, the Crab Village vendors gave Thursday Food a taste of the Ultimate Maggi Street Style experience.
