Gabriella's Cosmetics AG (Switzerland) through its Jamaican subsidiary Gabriella's Cosmetics Limited has partnered with the Jamaica Observer to unearth and nurture the next generation of image architects from whose hands and lens stories of Jamaican beauty will unfold on the pages of the Saturday Observer publication Under The Dryer .

Presented as a two-part feature, readers will be introduced to four Jamaican photographers and make-up artists who are vying for a contract to become members of the Gabriella's Cosmetics Glam Squad and the opportunity to have their work featured in beauty campaigns in Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. The winning duo will also have the opportunity to participate in all remaining 2018 promotional campaigns by Gabriella's Cosmetics.

Starting today, each team of two will interpret a beauty campaign concept that will feature the new Glitz N Glam Metallics Collection by Gabriella's Cosmetics and at the end of the second feature, readers will vote for their favourite look. The first team comprises photographer Jordan Morris and make-up artist Rasine Hamilton who combined to showcase the on-trend luminous look.

Luminous

A look featured across all major fashion publications — Vogue, Elle and Harper's Bazaar — as well as countless make-up campaigns, from Kylie Jenner to Tom Ford and Fenty Beauty, the luminous look features strong make-up with an almost intergalactic glow. For a fresh young look that instantly highlights a modern edge, Hamilton created looks on models Heidie Bailie and Maria Cordero. These included eyeshadows from the Glitz N Glam Metallics palette in Silver Belle and First Class with Maria's look also featuring shades from the upcoming peach and neutral tones eyeshadow palettes respectively. Her lips featured an elegant blend of liquid matte in Nude and metallic lip gloss in Rose Gold. On Heidie, Hamilton incorporated the silver belle metallic eyeshadow with shades from the peach eyeshadow palette and for the lips she created a decadent shade mixing liquid matte in blush and metallic lip gloss colours Purple Haze and Bronze Shimmer all from Gabriella's Cosmetics.

Shimmery

From the runway to editorial pages, metallic make-up is the mainstay of a modern beauty aesthetic. Metallics in shimmery colours are impactful, fresh and perfect for every woman. For this look, the team of photographer Jonathan South and make-up artist Keneisha Bryan produced images for this concept that featured bold shimmery eyes on our models. On Heidie, Bryan incorporated shades from the Violet Haze and neutral tones eyeshadow palettes with her lips featuring metallic lip gloss colours Purple Haze and Pink Sparkle. For Maria, the look was created using various shades from the peach, neutral tones and 88-colour warm eyeshadow palettes and her lips wore a combination liquid matte shades Blush and Diva along with metallic lip gloss colour Bronze Shimmer. The final looks featured shades from the contour and highlighter palettes as well as eyeliner, mascara, eyebrow gel and setting spray, all upcoming 2018 products from Gabriella's Cosmetics.

With faces showcasing on-trend looks in vibrant metallic colours, Gabriella's Cosmetics is on course in fulfilling the make-up needs of women the world over, one look at a time, whilst embodying its motto: “Awakening the fabulous new you...”.
