Romance was the farthest thing on the mind of Transcend Performance CEO Vivian Caesar and Deandra Nosworthy, nurse/celebrity make-up artist, when they met in 2000 at Seminole Middle School in Florida. Their friendship nevertheless blossomed into love and the rest, as they say, is history. On Sunday, April 2017 Vivian decided to make it official and proposed to Deandra during the Jamaica Carnival Road March. In between chippin' down the road she paused long enough, we reckon, to say “yes”. Vows takes you from “hello” to “I do”.

I now pronounce you...

On Saturday, January 12, 2019 family and friends gathered at Boone Hall Oasis, Stony Hill, to witness the union of Deandra and Vivian. Kara Anderson from Petals and Promises was responsible for the royal-themed décor that incorporated shades of white and gold. The bridesmaids, cued by Kanye West's All Of The Lights featuring Rihanna and Kid Cudi, made their way up the aisle in champagne dresses from Happy Bride Couture. They were escorted by the smart-looking groomsmen in black pants and white jackets from I &A Formalwear Tuxedos.

At the altar, Vivian waited patiently in a black custom-built suit by Guglielmo G from Barcelona, Spain. When Deandra finally made her entrance to Haley Reinhart's Can't Help Falling In Love, she was escorted by her parents Vincent and Yvonne Nosworthy. She stunned in a Martina Liana gown from Boca Raton Bridal, while carrying a bouquet of white peonies and phalaenopsis orchids.

The reception

The reception was held at the same location, and guests were given Carnival headpieces to don. The festivities commenced with the arrival of the bridal party with glow sticks to Ding Dong's Flare Is In The Air. The area was soon cleared for the arrival of the newly-weds to D'Angelo's Cruisin.

Post-formalities, guests enjoyed a hearty dinner and witnessed the cutting of the four-tiered strawberry, coconut and lemon cake by Pansey. The newly-weds and their guests then partied in the same manner in which the proposal took place: to soca sounds, courtesy of Richie Ras.

The honeymoon will follow at a later date.
