MONTEGO BAY, St James — Cornwall College's Under 16 team will meet a Cornwall College Old Boys team in a friendly match at the school's football field tomorrow afternoon starting at 3:00pm, as part of the school's weeklong Homecoming celebrations.
The Under 16 team is preparing for the start of their competition next month and the game has become a part of the itinerary for the past four years.
The match, which will be sponsored by Jamaica International Insurance Company (JIIC) is one of two sporting components to the week, as a golf tournament will be held Saturday morning at Cinnamon Hills course in Rose Hall.
Roy Ten-Fah, chairman of the Homecoming planning committee said the "sporting components of Homecoming have proved to be very popular, as it gives the youngsters a chance to test their physical skills against the older, more experienced Cornwallians".
Saturday's golf tournament is being coordinated by singer AJ Brown.
And according to Ten-Fah, the response to the event has been "very good and in addition to the adult players, a number of the present students will also be taking part".
