MONTEGO BAY, St James — DEFENDING champions Catherine Hall All-Stars will have a score to settle with MoBay Hoopers when they meet in a third-round Flow National Basketball League-West game at the Montego Bay Cricket Club today at 6:30pm.
Hoopers evened the season series between the two teams when they upset All-Stars 67-62 on Saturday, after Catherine Hall had won their first round of games.
Today's winner will get the advantage in the race for second place behind runaway leaders Granville Jaguars, who beat Sav Hawks 92-59 on Tuesday for their 10th straight victory.
All-Stars are in second place on 17 points from 10 games, seven wins and three losses, with Hoopers next on 15 points from nine games, six wins and three losses; Hawks and Lucea Flames are tied on 11 points each while Railway Lane Tigers are on nine points.
On Tuesday, Hawks went down to their eighth consecutive loss and third to Jaguars, despite a game-high 23 points from Terrence Tate.
Jaguars led 19-14, 42-24 and 70-37 as Levar Rose scored 18 points, Dave Black Jnr had 17 points and six assists, while Lemardo Gaubault had a season-high 16 points, six rebounds, six steals and four assists.
Dilon Hodges scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Sav to assist Tate, while Richard Chambers scored 10 points in a losing effort.
