Fontana lauds FNO

MONTEGO BAY, St James — FONTANA Pharmacy in the Fairview Shopping Centre has joined the large number of retailers across western Jamaica in commending the Jamaica Observer for its celebration of Fashion's Night Out (FNO).
"The recent FNO was a very, very successful night for us. Sales were very good — more than the previous years — and customers were very satisfied," said Fontana's sales and marketing manager Zadia Forbes.
According to Forbes, during the recent staging of the initiative, Fontana offered up to 50 per cent discounts on selected items, which included home decor.
"We really went all out this year to provide what people were looking for and we collaborated with a lot of our suppliers to create the right environment for shopping," she told the Observer West.
During the shopping spree, which went past 11:00 pm, customers not only indulged in retail therapy but also enjoyed generous offerings of cocktails and snacks at Fontana.
Fontana has been an ardent supporter of the Jamaica Observer's celebration of FNO since the initiative was introduced to western Jamaica in 2010.
Forbes said FNO could not have come at a better time for Fontana, bearing in mind that the month of September is traditionally a slow period for retailers. She noted that this year her staff, who were allowed to 'dress down' for FNO, also enjoyed the festivities.
"During the night, our staff were out of uniforms — the only time for the year — and were allowed to dress up for the night and to compete for prizes," said Forbes.
