Students of the Hanover Educational Institute protesting outside the offices of the Hanover branch of the Social Development Commission (SDC) in Lucea on Monday after they were evicted from the property.

The school which currently has 24 students on roll has been occupying the SDC complex for the past 11 years, and is said to owe thousands of dollars in outstanding rent.

Chairman of the school Kenrick Davis has since called on Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller to intervene into the matter.

In the meantime, plans are being finalised to commence classes for the Easter term at the Bull's Bay Restaurant in Hanover.
